4. Crosslinking Agent in Adhesives

In crosslinking reactions, AIBN initiates co-polymerization of monomers with crosslinkers. This leads to: 

  • Thermosetting adhesives with higher mechanical strength. 
  • Increased resistance to solvents, heat, and mechanical stress. 

AIBN’s consistent radical generation helps maintain batch-to-batch consistency, which is critical in adhesive formulations.
